Please find below this year's curriculum maps for the children at St Helen's Catholic Infant School. They give parents information about what topic children are going to be covering this year.
English: We use 'The Power of Reading' scheme to deliver the EYFS Literacy Curriculum in Reception and The National Curriculum for English in Year 1 and 2.
Phonics: We use 'Letters and Sounds' and supplement materials from 'Bug Club' to teach Phonics in all year groups.
Maths: In Reception we use 'The Mastering Number Programme' supported by resources from 'White Rose Maths', 'NCETM' and the DFe 'Ready to Progress' document to deliver the EYFS Maths Curriculum. In Year 1 and 2 we use 'The Curriculum Prioritisation Guidelines' supported by resources from 'White Rose Maths' and 'NCETM' to deliver the National Curriculum. We are also part of the Venn Essex Maths Hub 'Mastering Number Program.'
