The children in Year 1 have been starting every maths lesson with some body counting. They have been comparing objects by height and length and describing what they have found out using mathematical language. Shorter than, taller than, longer than, heavier than, lighter than and equals to. They read poems about water and sand and as they explored they generated words to use when they wrote their own poems. #learningisfun #year1 #brentwood #essex
