Please find below this year's curriculum maps for the children at St Helen's Catholic Infant and Nursery School. They give parents information about what topic children are going to be covering this year.

English: We use 'The Power of Reading' scheme to deliver the EYFS Literacy Curriculum in Nursery and Reception and The National Curriculum for English in Year 1 and 2.

Phonics: We use Little Wandle Letters and Sounds (validated by the DFe) to teach phonics in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and 2,

Maths: In Nursery, we use 'White Rose Maths' resources to deliver the EYFS Maths Curriculum. In Reception we use 'The Mastering Number Programme' supported by resources from 'White Rose Maths', 'NCETM' and the  DFe 'Ready to Progress' document to deliver the EYFS Maths Curriculum. In Year 1 and 2 we use 'The Curriculum Prioritisation Guidelines' supported by resources from 'White Rose Maths' and 'NCETM' to deliver the National Curriculum. We are also part of the Venn Essex Maths Hub 'Mastering Number Program.'
