Vacancy: Class Teacher (Early Career or MPS)

Required: September 2026

 

St Helen’s Catholic Infant and Nursery School is a vibrant and happy school, situated in Brentwood. The governors, staff, and parents are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-motivated person to join us in September 2026.

Vacancy: Early Years Practitioner: September 2026

Pay Scale: 2020 Scale 5 (2019 Band 3)

Term-Time Only: 8.15am – 3.10pm

St Helen’s Catholic Infant and Nursery School is a vibrant and happy school seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Practitioner to join our team in our new school-based nursery which is opening in September 2026.

Working closely with a class teacher and the wider Early Years team, the successful candidate will support children's learning and development through nurturing care, high-quality interactions, and engaging provision in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education, BTEC National Diploma in Early Years, NVQ Level 3 in Children Care, Learning and Development, or NNEB Certificate
  • GCSE in Maths and English C/4 or above
  • Have experience in nursery/EYFS setting
  • Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • Be resilient, flexible and organised
  • Passionate about teaching and learning

The successful candidate will join the school’s support team and be expected to make a major contribution to the work of that team in all aspects of its work in school.
